Summary

Sophie Foster is struggling. Grieving. Scrambling. But she knows one thing: she will not be defeated.

The Neverseen have had their victories—but the battle is far from over. It’s time to change tactics. Make sacrifices. Reexamine everything. Maybe even time for Sophie to trust her enemies.

All paths lead to Nightfall—an ominous door to an even more ominous place—and Sophie and her friends strike a dangerous bargain to get there. But nothing can prepare them for what they discover. The problems they’re facing stretch deep into their history. And with time running out, and mistakes catching up with them, Sophie and her allies must join forces in ways they never have before.

What do we think?

Personally, I love Nightfall. Nightfall is in my top three favorite books of Keeper. My one issue with Nightfall is Amy. I know there are a lot of people out there who love Sophie’s little sister and love that fact they brought her back, but I just don’t agree. See, Kylee and I split Keeper into trilogies, Keeper, Exile, and Everblaze make up the first trilogy and so on. Sophie’s family (a.k.a. Amy) were first trilogy concerns. When the Neverseen took Sophie’s mom and dad she could’ve taken Amy too saving a lot of unnecessary explanation. Because they didn’t Shannon- Sophie- had to reexplain things like abilities and the Black Swan. Amy added some cute sister moments and sentimental feel, but overall, I just didn’t need that as an additional plot. What do you think? Comment below and we will be happy to get back to you.

I LOVE NIGHTFALL!!! It may just be my favorite book from the series. I think that you can see repercussions from Lodestar and Neverseen that create conflict within the friend group and with the villains. I agree that Amy should have not come back as it added more complications than necessary. I also liked that Marella came back and that she was a Pyrokinetic, I think that was a needed plot twist.  I will not lie, the Keefoster moments throughout Nightfall make me really happy. I thought the part where they went to see King Dimitar and Keefe and Dimitar had a sparring match was really interesting. We learned more about the ogre’s culture and saw Keefe show Dimitar up. Pure gold. And if you had the chance to read Keefe’s short story (which is what happened when Keefe is on bed rest for a week) you know just how amazing it is. Also can we just take a moment to appreciate Ro? Ro is amazing, she is just what the series needs when it comes to characters and she the perfect bodyguard for Keefe. I find her presence and remarks hilarious and I cannot get enough of Ro. In the end, I loved Nightfall and it remains my favorite book in the series. Let us know what you think!!!
