What do we think?

I think Everblaze is under appreciated. I tend to forget about the importance of Everblaze because it is masked behind the action and intensity of what I call the second trilogy. I love how Oblivamere was described and I appreciate the scene that took place there. Many fan sites I have I encountered are aghast at the councilors decision to heal Fintan’s mind, but I however, am not. After centuries of building relationships with their fellow council members can you blame them for missing a friend? And not our type of friend that sticks around for a year or two before disowning us, but a friendship that has lasted for potentially hundreds of years. Overall, I appreciate the events of Everblaze although it’s not my favorite book of the series. Feel free to post your thoughts in the comment section below.

Everblaze is the perfect gateway between, young Sophie transitioning to teen Sophie. I do think this book is very overshadowed by the second trilogy and because it does play as a transition book it can be easily brushed to the side. However, this book is full of action that I always forget about. Okay, Kate disagrees with me every time but I hate that Kenric died, he was a very lovable character and I was sad to see him go. And also the ability restrictor though it practically gives you a headache by reading it, was a good plot twist and interesting to see the dynamic of the friend groups change. Everblaze is not my top favorite but still an excellent book!
